Ingredients:
1 box lasagna noodles
Shredded Mozzarella cheese
Parmesan cheese
Meat Sauce
1 ˝ lbs. Ground beef (90-95% lean) 1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped 1 small green pepper, chopped
salt 1tsp. oil
˝ tsp. paprika crushed red pepper
˝ cup white wine
1 large jar of your favorite pasta sauce (I like Ragus vegetable supreme)
A little bit of water
Cheese Mixture
1 large container ricotta cheese fresh chopped parsley
2 eggs salt (as much as you like)
1tsp. black pepper 1tbs seasoned breadcrumbs
˝ cup shredded mozzarella cheese ˝ cup parmesan cheese
˝ cup shredded carrots (like what you put in a salad)
Procedure:
For the meat mixture, here we go..
In a large skillet, sauté the onions, peppers and garlic in oil until tender. Add the ground meat, and brown thoroughly.
Next, add the salt, crushed red pepper, paprika, and wine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Next, add the pasta sauce. Add some
water until you get the texture you like. Cover, and cook for another 5-10 minutes.
Now, for the cheese mixture
Combine everything in a bowl. (That wasnt too hard, now was it?!)
To assemble, first put a little of the meat mixture on the bottom of the pan, then add some noodles, then add a layer of
meat mixture some parmesan and mozzarella cheese, and a layer of the cheese mixture. Another layer of noodles, a layer of
meat, some parmesan and mozzarella cheese, another layer of noodles, and a layer of the cheese mixture. Another layer of noodles,
a layer of meat, some parmesan and mozzarella cheese, another layer of noodles, and a layer of the cheese mixtures. So on(You
might want to be generous with the substance layers as the lasagna can get really high, really fast, and you dont want anything
to go to waste. you will probably get about 3 big layers in all, so you can calculate the amounts of each)
The top should be covered with the meat mixture, and the Parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.
Cook for about 40 minutes in 375-400 degrees 9depending on your oven, you know it better than I)
Good luck and enjoy LISA
