Ingredients:
1 boneless skinless chicken breast or
1 Pkg of Chicken Tenders cut up into bite size pieces
1 broccoli head or
1 frozen bag of Broccoli Florets
1 box of Zitti or your favorite kind of pasta
Spanish Goya Adobo seasoning
garlic powder
salt
black pepper
1 can of chicken broth
½ cup of white wine
butter
Parmesan cheese (optional)
¾ cup of heavy cream or whole milk (optional)
Procedure:
Cook pasta according to package directions
Steam the broccoli
While the broccoli and pasta are cooking, chop your chicken.
After the chicken is chopped, season with Adobe, garlic powder, salt and black pepper. Sprinkle on as much as you like.
Let the chicken sit for a minute or two. Then fry the chicken pieces.
Sauce that goes over the chicken zitti and broccoli
In a pot or pan over low heat combine 3 tablespoons of butter or margarine, can of chicken broth ½ cup of white wine, some
Adobo, salt, black pepper, garlic powder and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. At this point you may add heavy cream or whole
milk. Let boil for about a minute or two. Pour over Chicken Zitti and Broccoli. Enjoy.
Note if you dont have a can of chicken broth you can substitute it for a cube of Knorr Chicken Bouillon and a cup of water.
Lisas version
Season the chicken with Salt, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, parsley flakes and a tbsp. of flour. Mix all together and leave
for a few minutes. Sauté minced garlic and promise together. Add chicken cook it until its nice and crispy. Then add more
promise, white wine, more garlic powder, more parsley flakes, more black pepper, more salt (as needed and parmesan cheese.
Let simmer for a few minutes, then turn off the heat. Add the broccoli florets to absorb the flavor a bit, then add the zitti.
Add more Promise, as needed.
